Help Me Grow Alabama Early Screening Continuous Quality Improvement Collaborative

ACHIA CME 1 hmgaACHIA is delighted to offer primary care providers enduring material modules to earn Continuing Medical Education while participating in a Maintenance of Certification Part 4 Continuous Quality Improvement Collaborative.  The Help Me Grow Alabama (HMGA) is a 9-month American Board of Pediatrics MOC Quality Improvement Collaborative designed to help practices increase early identification and referral of children with potential developmental, behavioral, or emotional delays.  The collaborative will help practices efficiently incorporate standardized screens at the AAP-recommended periodicity as well as effectively and reliably link patients with delays to community referral resources. The goal of our Help Me Grow-Alabama (HMGA) collaborative is to provide optimal care to ensure optimal outcomes for children with developmental delays, autism, and social-emotional problems.

Through HMGA your team will incorporate evidence-based screening instruments into your practice workflow as well as reliably refer children at risk of delays to services for further evaluation and support.  HMGA provides faculty with expertise in Development and in Quality Improvement, as well as provides technical assistance for data management; however your best learning resource is likely to be your peers within the collaborative. Everyone learns when members share questions, challenges or successes at our workshop and on our monthly phone calls.

I look forward to working with you over the next few months as your practice creates reliable and sustainable plans to screen and successfully refer your patients at risk of developmental delay.
